More Raw Week 7

This week has been pretty consistent, but not as high as I would have liked.

I am really struggling with both sugar and general food cravings at the moment.

I am ravenously hungry, seemingly all the time. This is due in part because I’m in the second half of my menstrual cycle and I am always hungrier after ovulation. The sugar cravings I am not sure what to do about. They have been insistent over the last week or two and I have been eating far too much white chocolate.

Also, I have noticed that unless I eat a reasonable amount of nuts (or avocado) I find it hard to keep my percentages up.

I think I should be eating more fruit and vegetables, but I am just not sure how to achieve it.

How do I take the next step?

How do I beat the sugar cravings for good?

I’m doing well, and seven weeks in I feel good, but I know I can feel even better.

Need to focus, but it’s hard when my body is so desperately hungry all the time!

  1. I have an idea for you!! A couple months ago, I was trying to figure out the same thing, how to eat more fruit, and how to keep myself from donuts cravings at the office in the morning. I’ll share very briefly what works for me, I start the day with a fruit smoothie (2 ripe bananas, 1 cup frozen strawberries, a few raspberries, bit of raw honey, sprinkle of chia seeds) around 8pm, and then, this is key, a whole pint of fruit juice around mid-morning, usually just four green apples juiced in my Hurom, which are surprisingly sweet when juiced. Or a pint of juiced oranges, or pineapple juice, or whatever fruit I have on hand. It really keeps me energized and keeps the sugar cravings away! You really can’t eat too much fruit 🙂

  2. Thanks – I’ll give that a go. I have a blender, but not a juicer, so I could make smoothies out of soft fruit, or even just eat more fruit in the morning – perhaps getting my fill of fruit sugar early in the day will help!

    I’ll start tomorrow and see how the week goes.
