Family Fortunes

Ah, I see. I get a payrise in June (that’s the reason for not getting one now). Hah.

That aside, I have decided that my new manager has come through his probation with flying colours. I got some real encouragement from him today – just a couple of words can make a world of difference. I am very pleased at how everything has all worked out. Phew!

I toyed with the idea of posting a collection of extracts from my old manager’s email and messenger conversations with me (I saved every last one, in case I ever got to the point where I couldn’t take any more), as a kind of farewell send off, and also so that everyone could see what I have been subjected to for the last two and a half years, but I decided not in the end. Probably for the best, eh? ;-)

Meanwhile, my friend Lou sent this to me, taken from the quick-fire round in the old Family Fortunes gameshow. As she said, it’s old, but still v. v. funny…
