I’ve been away for a while and deliberately not posted anything – I don’t know if it’s a temporary thing, but I’m starting to find maintaining the site a bit of a chore. Both Steve and I have been a lot busier recently (oh – and Steve has an exciting new job too, so we both will have left our old company within 3 months of each other), both at work and socially, and posting has just taken a back seat to keeping everything else going. Maybe it’s just this time of year, as the closer you get to Christmas, the more there seems to be to do.

At the moment I’m undecided about what I’m going to do with the site, so I’m leaving it as is for now.

5 Minute Catch Up #6

I did it! I finally sent a spec, design notes, and provisional logo designs over to the web designer who’s going to create the look for my online business. Hurrah!

Work is finally going OK – I’m doing some cool stuff now I’ve moved away from porting code into OpenGL (I know nothing about graphics – I’m really just a noughts and ones girl), and I don’t feel quite so much like a sore thumb anymore.

What an odd expression, sticking out like a sore thumb…

Anyway. I’ve also had Jon the Builder over to repair the holes in mum’s wall so she can finally get the curtains back up in the bedroom – he’s coming to finish off tomorrow. Funny, cause he loves British Bulldogs… and he looks quite a lot like one to be honest. Seems like a lovely chap though, so I have a new tradesman to add to my collection of Tradesmen I’m Going To Use Forever Cause They Didn’t Rip Me Off Or Insult Me.

Great stuff eh?
